Home > How you can help

Childrens Chance is run entirely by volunteers, we receive no grant or government funding and we rely entirely on the generosity of donors and fundraising. Please help…

ALL gifts donated to Childrens Chance are very much appreciated. If you would like to make a one-off individual donation, however small, we would be very grateful. If you are a UK taxpayer please sign a gift aid declaration so that we can claim the tax back on your gift. You may also give on-line via the ‘Donate’ button (with PayPal link) on our website or by electronic transfer – our bank details are on our standing order form on the Contacts page. Or text CHCH15 £5 to 70070 to donate £5. Thank you.

Childrens Chance Unwrapped – the Ideal Gift!

tennis1Sporting and Performing gifts to give chances and make a difference to young lives….
Oxfam were the innovators of charity gifts (…. gifts such as goats to African villages, gifts tennis that cannot be bound up with paper and ribbons, yet are very much still gifts, both needed and wanted…

Childrens Chance gifts follow the same ‘unwrapped’ principle; you can give a gift of either a ‘Sporting Chance’ or a ‘Performing Chance’ which will benefit a child or young person who would not otherwise have the chance.

You can choose any value from £10 upwards. There is no charge for the card or postage to your address and you can add any personalised message you wish to the card.

The money from the gift will be used to fund children and young people like Stefan, pictured, to have chances they would not otherwise have.

Childrens Chance Unwrapped is an ideal way to give to friends and relatives or ‘the person who has everything’ but who would like disadvantaged children to have the same chances they have had. Your recipient will have the pleasure of knowing that your gift to them is making a difference to a young life in our region – Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset

Childrens Chance Unwrapped is different and it will make a difference! See right hand panel for how to buy.

Become a Friend

Friends are our personal representatives – they distribute our publicity material and champion our cause. Please ring 01722 415991 if you would like to become a Childrens Chance Friend.

A Legacy

If you would like to help us without actually giving anything now, you might like to consider making a gift in your Will… Legacy giving is a tax efficient way to give and a well drafted Will can also reassure you that all your affairs are in order. So if you have not already made a Will, or if it needs updating, why not consider a confidential discussion with your solicitor?

clip_image002Alternatively Childrens Chance has arranged with Messrs Parker Bullen for the charity’s supporters to have a straightforward Will prepared at a preferential rate.

For further information on how to take advantage of this offer please call Robert Sykes at Parker Bullen on 01722 412000.

Other ways to help

Here are a few suggestions: hold a ‘dress down’ day or ‘non-uniform’ day in your place of work or school. (If everybody pays just £1 it can add up to a huge amount.) Hold a quiz night, coffee morning or bridge drive. Run the London Marathon! Organise a raffle. Hold a dinner/drinks/tea party and sell tickets. Help with street collections. Organise a cake sale…HAVE FUN!

If you would like to become a sponsor and commit to the charity with a regular standing order please e-mail us, we can send you standing order and gift aid forms, or you can find these on the Contacts page.

In memorium donations are gratefully received – please see the list of those we remember on our home page.

Please call 01722 415991 if you would like more information or to help. THANK YOU!
