Applications must be made by a person holding parental responsibility for the child, not the child themselves. To be considered for an award, you must have the backing of a caring professional such as a school headteacher, ordained minister, social worker, health visitor or GP (other caring professionals such as those with a pastoral role in schools, professionals working in benefits agencies or charities supporting those in financial need, are also welcome to support applications).
Please note – the form cannot be supported by a beneficiary e.g., a music teacher to whom the cheque will be paid.

Once you have read and agree to the Rules of Application (see them here), make sure you have the support and agreement of a caring professional (see above), and ask them to sign your form as your Supporter.

Childrens Chance is run entirely by volunteers, we receive no grant or government funding and we rely entirely on the generosity of donors and fundraising. Please help…

There are many fun ways of fundraising, including:

  • Hold a ‘dress down’ day or ‘non-uniform’ day in your place of work or school. (If everybody pays just £1 it can add up to a huge amount.)
  • Hold a quiz night, coffee morning or bridge drive.
  • Run the London Marathon!
  • Organise a raffle.
  • Hold a dinner/drinks/tea party and sell tickets.
  • Organise a cake sale…
